Ariel Blumenthal, Composer Israeli composer Ariel A. Blumenthal was born in Tel-Aviv in 1974. Graduating from 'Rimon' School of Music in Israel, he continued his professional education at 'Berklee College of Music' in Boston studying Film-Scoring and Composition. Blumenthal's versatile writing targets both films and concert halls. His concert pieces had been performed in prestigious venues such as the 'Wallonie' and 'Mozart' international festivals in Belgium, 'Kfar-Blum' festival in Israel and Chicago Symphony Orchestra's 'First Hearing' concert. Recent commissions to be performed in the following months include a choral piece commissioned by The 'Arlington-Belmont Chorale' and a chamber piece commissioned by renewed Israeli percussionist Chen Cymbalista. Blumenthal is the recipient of the 'America-Israel Cultural Foundation' composition scholarship, the Richard Levy Composition Award and 'Chicago Symphony Orchestra' composition award among others. Recently he participated in the ASCAP annual film-scoring workshop.
